Veterans Programming

THERAPY:

The veterans’ therapeutic program at Triple Play is offered in both individual and group formats as needed. It is highly customized to the needs of each client and may involve both unmounted and mounted activities. The program is designed to address a broad spectrum of service related injuries, including PTSD and TBI.  

Funding for therapeutic services may be available--please inquire.

TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS PROGRAM:

• We highly recommend that you start seeking services by registering with NCServes by CLICKING HERE. Their coordination center is one of the best resources in the region for connecting with veteran specific resources in many areas of need, including housing, employment and healthcare. If you need assistance with registration, just let us know. We would be happy to help.

• Once you have done that, we can arrange a time for you to visit the farm to see whether this setting and our team might be a fit for you. We typically do entrance interviews on Monday afternoons. It is our privilege to offer this service and if you are interested in joining our Hooves on the Ground program, or know someone who might be, please reach out at the Contact Us page.

COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS:

We are thrilled to lend facility space each week to our partners at Continuing the Mission, a Davidson based non-profit whose mission is to improve the quality of life for Veterans living with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), and Military Sexual Trauma (MST) and their families by providing them with uniquely trained canine partners. They are an impressive organization with whom we are proud to collaborate. Please get to know and support them…you never know when one of their amazing canines might show up at one of our Open House events!
